Kuta Cluster
Kuta, on the opposite side of the island from sanur was first discovered by the surfers and hippies of the 60's. It now has a reputation around the world for it's magnificent sunsets, surf beach and nightlife. Once a sleppy fishing village it has been transformed into the center of all Bali action. With it's markets, street vendor, night clubs, hotels, restaurants, and bars and plenty of entertainment is non stop. Whether looking for a bargain to bring home or just wanting relax on the beach or perhaps wanting to party the night away, Kuta is everything and more.
Sanur Cluster
The Village of Sanur located on the eastern coast of Bali is the ideal beach for snorkeling as it is protected by a coral reef. Sanur is Bali's first beach resort, it is also Bali largest Traditional village. It is a place of remarkable contrast; a golden mile of gorgeous hotels that attract Grand Bali Beach, a war reparation gift from the japanese, nestle the sacred and specila temple of Ratu Ayu Singgi, the much feared spirit of sanur's fabled Black Barong. Between Balinese or western style accomodation, both with all the comforts of home. There also many excellent open air restaurants and cafes offering every variety of food imaginable. The life style here is far different from Kuta and Legian with the accent on relaxation.
Nusa Dua Cluster
Nusa Dua is a luxurious resort area where the world's most sumptuous hotel gracefully integrate into beautiful white beaches. Crystal clear water provides excellent snorkeling and diving site. Nusa Dua was designed for the luxury conscious with a heavy concentration of big name hotels linning the beautiful white sand beach. Some of the resort have private beaches but most area are accessible. The strecht past the ayodya resort has a public beach and during the wet season, the outer reef there is popular surf break. At present you will find some simple warungs selling good food at cheap prices along this beautiful stretch of beach that offers exellent swimming condition in a protected lagoon.
The peninsula of Tanjung Benoa extend about 4Km north from Nusa Dua to benoa village. Benoa Village is one of Bali's multi denominational corners, with and interesting chinese temple, a mosque and a Hindu temple within 100m. It is fast developing as a more mid-market offshoot of Nusa Dua, with a wider spread of accomodation and a heap of water sports facilities as well.
Denpasar Cluster
Denpasar is capital city of Bali island, it is where all the government office of bali province is in denpasar. It has various attractions. The white sandy beaches are famous all over the island. Some of the famous surfing beaches are Kuta Beach, Legian Beach and Canggu Beach. Sanur beach has calmer waters and is excellent for sunbathing. Ten minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport lies the town of Kuta. Kuta is where most of the hotels, restaurants, malls, cafes, marketplaces, and spas that cater to tourists are located. In the Denpasar area, all kinds of beautiful Balinese handicrafts are represented in local shops. These include artwork, pottery, textiles, and silver. Bali is a haven for shoppers everywhere.
